Participant Eligibility

  • U.S-based high school juniors and seniors from underrepresented and historically excluded backgrounds (First generation; low-income; underserved rural communities; Black or African American; Hispanic or Latinx; Indigenous, Native American, or Alaska Native; Pacific Islander; Individuals with disabilities; and additional groups)

  • Interested in research in STEM or the Liberal Arts

Application Process

  • Applications will open on April 1st and close on May 31st, 2022 at 11:59 pm EST

  • The application consists of three short answer questions (200-300 words) about your educational goals and interest in research, and one statement of purpose (500 words) describing what drives your interest in PCRi

  • Application decisions will be made by June 3 and accepted participants will be required to attend a mandatory student orientation in the second week of June. 

  • The overall program will officially start in the middle of June. However, each PCRi course will have its own start date and meeting times. 

    • The Biology cohort will have three hour-long meetings from June 13th through August 11th on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 5:30-8:30 PM EST.

    • The Math & Physics cohort will have two-hour meetings from June 13th through August 10th on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:00-8:00 PM EST. 

    • The Social Sciences cohort will have two hour-long meetings on Thursdays and Sundays from July 3rd through August 14th from 6:00-8:00 PM EST. ​
